Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Portuna.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Portuna ("the Platform") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Pakistan (or operating a Pakistan-registered business) to use the Platform. Employer accounts must represent a legally operating business entity.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. Portuna reserves the right to suspend accounts found to contain fraudulent or misleading information.
4. Candidate obligations
Candidates agree that information submitted on the Platform (CVs, skills, experience) is truthful and their own. Submitting false qualifications or impersonating another individual is grounds for immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. Employer obligations
Employers agree that all job postings are for legitimate, compensated positions within their organisation. Postings that solicit fees from candidates, require upfront payment, or are designed to collect personal data fraudulently are strictly prohibited and will be removed. Portuna reserves the right to verify employer identity and job legitimacy at any time.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) harvest or scrape any data from the Platform; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems; (d) post discriminatory job listings based on religion, gender, ethnicity, or other protected characteristics; or (e) harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
7. Intellectual property
All Platform content, design, and AI matching algorithms are the intellectual property of Portuna. Users retain ownership of their own content (CVs, job descriptions) but grant Portuna a non-exclusive licence to use that content to operate the Platform and improve its matching services.
8. Subscription and payments
Pro and Premium plans are billed monthly. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods. Prices are listed in PKR and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
9. Limitation of liability
Portuna provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee employment outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portuna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
