Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account data: email address, name, and password (hashed) collected at signup.

Candidate profile data: CV/resume, skills, work experience, education, city, and preferences you provide during onboarding.

Employer data: company name, industry, city, logo, and job postings.

Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information collected for analytics and platform improvement.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to: (a) operate and improve the Platform; (b) run our AI matching algorithm to surface relevant jobs and candidates; (c) send you notifications about applications, interviews, and status changes; and (d) detect fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Who sees your data

Candidates: your name, skills, city, experience level, and CV are shared with employers when you apply for a role. Your email is only visible to employers on Pro plans.

Employers: company profile information (name, logo, city, industry) is publicly visible on your company page.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted within compliant cloud data centres. We use row-level security to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to see. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

5. AI and matching

Our matching algorithm analyses your profile data (skills, experience, location) against job requirements to produce a match score. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made without human review.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

You have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; and (d) withdraw consent for optional data uses. To exercise these rights, email privacy@portuna.ai.

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
